We recently moved to Virginia Beach from out of state and we did not have any friends to help unload a 26 foot truck I took a chance and hired Southside Moving and Storage to help my wife and I unload. Best money I've spent on this move!!! Tre and Matt showed up early and quickly took command of the move. Within 1 and 1/2 hours they unloaded the truck. During the whole move, these two movers kept a sense of humor that made the unloading stress free. Their attention to detail showed through and Matt was determined that what wasn't a big deal to complete became their mission. The movers were professional and very polite, not to just us, the customer, but in their conversations with each other. I WILL be using Southside Moving and Storage again when I move out and would recommend them to anybody. Their reputation must proceed them as they were moving my neighbor our the next day. Before leaving, the movers took the time to quickly educate us about Virginia Beach and the surrounding cities, the main travel arteries, and some good seafood restaurants to try.

Excellent Movers!
We hired Southside Moving and Storage to relocate us locally. We were moving a five bedroom house, and it was full. We had one 16 foot POD we had loaded about a week before the move, and these movers showed up actually about thirty minutes early and got to work fast. The moving crew worked hard all day long, they took all of the furniture apart, wrapped things in blankets, and then took the completely full truck to the new house, where the POD had also been delivered. The movers kept going non-stop and never let up the entire day. At the end of the day, almost exactly the time they had quoted us, they finished the last bit of work, reassembling the beds, and putting the boxes where we had labeled them to go. In the end they had unloaded their truck and the POD which was packed to the ceiling front to back with boxes. I Can’t say enough about how hard this moving crew worked! We had paid extra for the full insurance, but these movers didn't leave a single scratch on anything, truly a top notch crew!!! I would definitely recommend Southside Moving and Storage, and use them again if I was moving!

By far the BEST moving company in Virginia Beach! Paul Parten was so very patient and helpful as i was in a moving frenzy. I called several other moving companies but because of his kindness and sense of urgency to help me, i chose Southside Moving and Storage. The rates he gave me were also the most reasonable for the time frame that i had to work with. The moving crew showed up ready to work and did not waste ANY time. They respected my time/money and got the job done in a timely manner. I would HIGHLY recommend Southside Moving and Storage and i want to thank Paul and the moving crew again for everything!! I needed to get my already boxed items into a secure storage unit and most moving companies charge a minimum of $350 with the only option of 3 movers and up. Considering The fact that all my boxes fit inside a 5x8 storage unit, I did not want to pay $350 for 3 movers from one location to another which clocked just under 5 miles. I would have preferred to find friends or family to help such a small move, but given the time restraint and day I needed to move, I had to use professional movers. Southside Moving and Storage has an immediate turnaround time for the online form with clear instructions on how to confirm your spot on their schedule and basic costs to let you see how much lower they are compared to any other moving company in Hampton Roads. I called and talked to Paul, I asked them to move 11AM the next day! Last minute move on my part, yet they were flexible and able to accommodate the last minute move. I called to confirm my appointment, gave them details and was given a final cost right then and there. The moving crew called me 30 minutes before arrival the next morning, loaded up and unloaded at the second location all under 2 hours. This was perfect, $250 well spent.Southside Moving and Storage did an outstanding job on this small move, and I am sure they perform super on large moves too. I will use Southside Moving and recommend them every time. I am just glad this moving company exists.
