Southside Moving and Storage Review, Sabrina G.

Written by

Sabrina G. Southside Moving and Storage Testimonial

I am so happy that I decided to call Southside Moving and Storage. I was scheduled to move with another company, but a friend told me to try Southside Moving since they were local, and they gave me a lower price. Even better, the guys who came and moved my stuff were all super nice and friendly. Corey, MAtt and Chris were all super professional and fun to be around. They made moving a much less stressful experience, which believe you me, I've had plenty of bad moving experiences.

I felt really bad that they had to carry everything up 4 flights of stairs, but the guys never even batted an eye, and made sure all my furniture was wrapped up and protected. I didn't think my couch was going to make it, but they somehow got it up the stair and into my new place without a scratch, very impressive considering it weighs a ton because its a sleeper.

They even showed me some cool moving tricks like keeping a door open with a quarter and tying several boxes to your back at once.

I highly recommend these guys and will be calling back in two years when my lease is us! (well, hopefully I can stay, but rent these days

How To Find Reliable Williamsburg Local Movers

If you are moving to, from or within Williamsburg, Virginia, you have to make sure that you plan things properly. One important element of that is finding the best movers Williamsburg has to offer for your needs. There are quite a number of moving companies out there so it is vital to find the one that will be most suitable for your needs. When looking for a Williamsburg moving company, start by thinking about what kinds of services you actually need. Do you just need a man with a van to take your items from one place to the next, or are you at the other end of the spectrum, where you need someone to pack and unpack everything for you, or is it somewhere in between the two? Once you understand what your personal needs are, you can start to look for a moving company that can serve these needs.

The best place to start your search for Williamsburg moving companies is online. Once upon a time, all we had at our disposal was the Yellow Pages. Because contacting them individually was the only way to find out about the services these moving companies offered, we would spend an inordinate amount of time on the phone. Additionally, it usually meant that we only contacted the first few moving companies in the Yellow Pages, thereby running the risk of never even considering the best moving company out there. This is no longer the case with the Internet where you have an opportunity to view all the services that are offered without ever having to speak to anybody. Additionally, because it is quick and easy to do, you can check out all the moving companies that are out there, rather than just one or two. As a result, you will have a wider range of possible choices and this will increase your chances of hiring the best for your needs.

In addition, the Internet also gives you the opportunity to find out what other people think of a particular Williamsburg moving company. When you look up reviews on Southside Moving and Storage, for instance, you will immediately find a wealth of positive reviews and testimonials from previous customers. This can give you some peace of mind of knowing that your items will be properly protected during your move. Once you have done all your research, you will then be in a position to choose the moving company that is best suited to your needs. Try to not let yourself be guided by the price alone. The cheapest moving company, after all, is not necessarily the best one. Rather, what you need to find is value for money, so that you know that the money you will spend will be utilized to give you quality service. Moving is stressful enough without having to worry about any of this, after all.

Services Offered By A Good Portsmouth Moving Company

There are many moving companies that operate in Portsmouth, Virginia. Some of these are small companies, like single man with vans, and others are huge moving companies with entire fleets of trucks. Most moving companies fall somewhere in between the two. However, when you are looking for a good Portsmouth moving company, there are a few things that you can expect at the very least. The first thing that you should expect is that the best moving company Portsmouth Va has to offer will always have a comprehensive website. Nobody uses the Yellow Pages anymore. Instead, people turn to the internet to see what movers Portsmouth Va residents can make use of, what they cost and more. If you are considering a moving company that does not have a website, you may want to look somewhere else, as they are obviously not committed to offering customers what they want.

Secondly, a good moving company will offer a full range of specialist services. For those who are moving Portsmouth Va companies usually work with residential customers, but they may also handle commercial moves and business moves. But you need to make sure that the moving company you are considering is capable of dealing with all these different types of moves. This is particularly important if you are moving over a long distance or you are looking into an interstate move, which happens as soon as you cross a state border, even if you end up getting back into the same state in the end.

Interstate moves are stringently regulated, and you have to make sure that the moving company is comfortable with that and is aware of the regulations and can comply with them. You may also want to look into whether or not the Portsmouth moving company offers packing services. This may be as little as providing you with boxes and packaging materials, or as much as physically packing up all your belongings. This is particularly popular with office and commercial moves, but it is also common with older people or those with physical disabilities.

One other thing to look into is the potential for storage. Many people will find that there is a period of time between moving out of your first property and into the next one. For example, they may already need to move out but the new home is not yet ready. If your moving company does not offer storage facilities, then you will need to arrange this with a different moving company, which could be prove to be more expensive. Thus, you might want to consider companies like Southside Moving and Storage, which have their own storage facilities to keep your belongings safe and secure during that time when the new home is not yet ready. Once you have done all this research, you can start to consider the price. Before choosing what you consider to be affordable, make sure that such moving company is capable of complying with all of your requirements.

Tips For Those Looking For Portsmouth Long Distance Movers

If you are moving over a long distance to or from Portsmouth, Virginia, you have to find a moving company that is comfortable in dealing with that. First of all, when looking for Portsmouth long distance movers, find out whether you are moving interstate or moving intrastate. Remember that an intrastate move may actually be classed as interstate if, at any point, your moving truck crosses a state border. If it is an interstate move, the moving company has to comply with stringent rules, laws and regulations. A good Portsmouth long distance moving company will be able to tell you whether or not you need to follow these regulations. It is your responsibility, however, to look for the best movers Portsmouth has available. Luckily, this isn't overly difficult to do, so long as you know what to look for.

The best place to look for a good Portsmouth moving company is online. A search for the best movers Portsmouth has to offer will quickly reveal a lot of different options. You then have to think about which moving company is right for you, which starts by thinking about your specific needs. How much are you comfortable doing yourself and how much do you want the moving company to do for you? You should also consider whether you will need to have a storage facility because there could be a time gap between moving to the new home and getting out of your current residence. In this case, you will need to find the best moving company Portsmouth Va has to offer that also provides storage service. If you don't, then you will have to potentially work with two different moving companies for a single move, which would be a waste of time and money. So, before you start looking, determining you specific needs is hugely important.

Finally, you should look into what other people have had to say about the moving companies they have hired in the past. Moving Companies like Southside Moving and Storage, for instance, will provide you with customer reviews and testimonials to tell you what other people thought of their services. Additionally, there are a number of forums on the internet dedicated to moving and storage, where you can also find a lot of information. Don't forget to check out the Better Business Bureau as well. This is particularly beneficial because it shows you the types of complaints people have made against a moving company as well as how these complaints have been dealt with. In reality, no company will ever be able to go through their operations without ever receiving a single complaint. However, if they are able to show that they take these complaints seriously and use them to improve their service, then you can have the security of knowing that your belongings will be safe and your move will be virtually stress-free.

How Portsmouth Residential Movers Can Make Your Move Less Stressful

The average person moves house at least three times in a lifetime. Yet, at the same time, it is one of the most stressful things we do in our lives as well. You may, for instance, find that there is gap of a few days between moving out of one property and into another property. Luckily, you can find a Portsmouth moving company that can arrange this for you. Southside Moving and Storage, for instance, offers a storage facility, which means you don't have to worry as to where your belongings will be kept during the transition period. That could be a massive load off your mind, allowing you to focus on the more vital things. In addition, this isn't all a good Portsmouth moving company can do for you. They are basically there to do all the hard stuff for you, such as moving out furniture, transporting them to a new location and putting them in place. What To Look For In Portsmouth Commercial Movers

A commercial move is very different from a domestic move. This means that if you want to move the contents of a commercial building, you will need to research certain companies. Portsmouth commercial movers have a number of features that set them apart. Although many of these moving companies deal with both domestic moves and commercial moves, they have certain areas of specialization that are required for a successful move. The best movers Portsmouth has to offer, for instance, have the fleet available to deal with the particular sizes and volume of commercial furniture. This will generally involve a lot of desks, chairs and cupboards, as well as items for that particular commercial property. This could be things such as mannequins, clothes racks, shelves and so on. These types of items cannot simply be put in the back of a van, often because of their size and shape.

Next, you need to consider the electrical equipment you want to move. Electrical equipment are often very large and heavy, which means that the staff within Portsmouth moving companies have to be properly trained in handling the different kinds of equipment. This is not just to protect your items, but also to protect the physical well-being of the staff members. Additionally, these electrical items need to be carried properly. Printers, for instance, should not be placed on their side as the weight will push down on the circuit boards and damage them. This is something that the Portsmouth moving company should be aware of without you having to tell them in particular. One of the most important things, however, is that you find a moving company that is able to handle the confidentiality of the items you are transporting, in particular your paperwork. It is likely that you will have a lot of documentation that highlights personal and financial details of your customers, and these have to remain private at all times.

Finally, you may need to find a moving company that allows for secure and private storage as well. This is why a lot of people turn to Southside Moving and Storage, a Portsmouth local moving company. They have state of the art storage facilities where all your items will be kept safely and securely, protected from both the elements and prying eyes. Take some time to review the options that are out there for you, looking into the services the moving company offers and the experience they have. Additionally, make sure you look into what other customers have said about these Portsmouth moving companies. Speak to people you know about getting reviews and testimonials and make sure you also check the Better Business Bureau to see what sort of complaints a potential moving company has received and how they have resolved any issues that were raised.

How To Find The Best Portsmouth Local Moving Company

If you are moving to or from Portsmouth, Virginia, it is likely that you will need the help of a moving company. Finding the best Portsmouth local moving company is best done online, but not before you have thought about what your personal needs actually are. When it comes to movers Portsmouth VA offers quite a number of companies to choose from, each of which offers different services at different prices.

Although it may be tempting to start your search based solely on your available budget, this is actually not a good idea. The cheapest option is not always the best option, after all, and you have to consider value for money above all else. Before you start moving Portsmouth VA companies recommend that you start by thinking about the items you want to move (consider size, weight and fragility). Also, be aware of whether you are moving interstate or moving intrastate. And think about whether you need packing materials and/or storage because there is a time period between moving out and moving in. Once you know these, it is time to start your search in earnest.

By using the Internet, you will have a clear overview of all the Portsmouth moving companies that are available to you. Where the Yellow Pages could only give you the name and number of a Portsmouth moving company, the Internet will allow you to see exactly what each of these moving companies offer and more. It is a great way to compare the different options side by side without having to speak to anybody. Knowing what you personal needs are, you can then filter the results you have found by those specific needs until you are left with perhaps three to five options. Do contact these for a free, no obligation quotation, which any good moving company should be happy to offer.

Once you have your potential choices ready, it is time to find some good reviews and testimonials. Feel free to speak to people you know and ask whether or not they can recommend a particular moving company. Alternatively, you could look at moving companies like Southside Moving and Storage, which provide testimonials on their website as well. There are also various forums dedicated to moving quotes online, where you could ask other people about their personal recommendations. Checking the Better Business Bureau is also a good idea. Here you can see not only whether the moving company in question has received any complaints, but also what these were about and how these were resolved. It would be almost impossible to find a moving company that has never received any complaints, unless they have only just started operating. It is far more important that they improve their services based on those complaints, which shows excellent service.

Chesapeake Moving Companies, How Do Chesapeake Household Goods Moving Companies Protect Your Belongings?

Moving home from anywhere, including Chesapeake, Virginia, is a stressful enterprise. Although we try to do as much ourselves to save a bit of money, the reality is that many things often go wrong through those efforts. We may pack things the wrong way, thereby risking breakages of fragile items; we could place appliances the wrong way, such as our fridge, so they end up breaking with the result that we get stressed and have negative experiences with the entire process. But by working together with a Chesapeake household goods moving company you can reduce a great deal of this stress. Yes, it does cost a little bit of money. However, it also means you are left with more time to concentrate on other elements of your move and it significantly reduces your stress levels, thereby improving your overall health. You can't really put a price on that.

Finding a good Chesapeake moving company isn't hard. A simple search online for the best movers Chesapeake has to offer will reveal a wealth of results. Start by filtering them on the things that you absolutely need. For instance, some will include packing materials in their prices, others have experience in interstate moves, others will offer both moving and storage, and so on. Chesapeake moving and storage can be particularly beneficial if there is a period of time between moving out of one property and into the new one. You need to assured that your items are properly protected during this time. And because you are using the Internet, you can find all this information without ever having to pick up the phone and speaking to a person. This really is a thing of the past, when we used to have nothing but the Yellow Pages in order to find moving companies that we needed. Thanks to the Internet, you have an opportunity to compare all the different services that are available.

You should also use the Internet to look into customer reviews and testimonials. Try to make sure these are fully independent, as you don't know whether the ones provided directly by the moving company will paint a true picture of the services they offer. Make sure that the information provided through the reviews is actually relevant to your needs. For instance, a positive review on packing materials when you are providing your own boxes won't really matter to you. What you need is a moving company that you can trust with your belongings, in the knowledge that they will not be destroyed, damaged or lost. Take your time to find the right moving company for your needs and try not to be blinded by prices alone. You are not looking for the lowest price, but rather for the best value for money.

Chesapeake Movers, Why You May Need Commercial Movers

Written by

Chesapeake Movers, Why you may need commercial movers

When a business expands or contracts, finding new business premises may be required. However, moving commercial properties is very different from moving residential properties. It is therefore incredibly important to work together with good Chesapeake commercial movers, who understand the particular ins and outs of this type of move. There are two main reasons as to why these types of moves are different. First of all, it is because the type of goods that are transported are very different. There are usually a large number of electrical equipment (telephones, faxes, printers, copiers, servers and so on) and office furniture such as desks, cupboards and chairs. And the shapes and sizes of these pieces of furniture are very different from your run of the mill domestic furniture, which means they also need to be transported with different tools and processes.

Moving electrical equipment is also very different. Good Chesapeake business movers will have a lot of experience in terms of how to move relatively larger electrical items. Additionally, they will have the tools required in order to move these items. After all, you cannot simply pick up a combination printer, scanner and fax and carry it down the stairs. These types of items are not only very heavy, they are also awkwardly shaped. Furthermore, the circuit-boards contained inside can break if the machine is tilted or turned too much, which is something that the moving company also has to be aware of. A good moving company will employ staff who have been fully trained in manual handling, so that they are able to lift and move items not just in a way that the items are protected, but also in such a way that they do not cause injuries to themselves, which is also very important.

One other thing to take into consideration is that a business move generally means transporting confidential paperwork. It is very important that you are assured that your mover will not lose or even look at any documentation that contains information covered by Data Protection Acts or other laws. Companies like Southside Moving and Storage, for instance, will be able to show you the policies and procedures they have in place to protect your confidential items. They also offer storage facilities, at which point this confidentiality can become even more important, as it means you are leaving someone else in charge of keeping your documents secure. It is very important to spend a bit of time looking up reviews and testimonials by other users, so that you have peace of mind that your commercial furniture, equipment and documentation are moved properly and securely. Looking into the price, as such, is of secondary importance and finding a company that offers value for money is far more important.

What To Look For In Chesapeake Long Distance Movers

Written by

What To Look For In Chesapeake Long Distance Movers

If you are moving across a long distance from Chesapeake, Virginia, it is very important that you work with a moving company that has experience in this and that you know you can trust. There are quite a few Chesapeake long distance movers for you to choose from, so you do need to think of a few elements to ensure you have a positive moving experience. The Internet is one of the best tools at your disposal in order to help you pick the Chesapeake moving company that you will be working with. However, before you start looking, you should begin by thinking about what your needs actually are. A long distance move can be either a interstate move or intrastate move, which has to be your starting point. Chesapeake Interstate movers tend to be more regulated than Chesapeake intrastate ones, so if you are crossing the state borders, you need to make sure you work with a moving company that does meet all the necessary regulations.

Next, you need to think about the items that you are moving. The best movers Chesapeake has to offer will give you a range of hints and tips on how to pack all your belongings, your fragile items, your appliances and so on. Some will even provide you with the packing materials you need. Depending on how much money you have to spend, you could even choose a Chesapeake moving company that packs everything up for you. These do tend to be the most expensive ones, but the flip side is that you are much better insured should something break or otherwise get damaged. Most people, however, will pack their own belongings so do choose a moving company that will at least offer you some hints and tips on how to secure all your items so that everything will arrive in one piece.

If you are moving over a long distance, it could be that you will require some storage as well. If there is a period of time between you moving out of one property and into the next one, for instance, you need a location where your belongings will be kept safely and securely. Chesapeake Moving Companies like Southside Moving and Storage offer these types of facilities, also allowing you to come to the storage facility and remove or add items should you need to. Finally, you need to look at the price. Although it may be tempting to simply pick the cheapest moving company, this could actually be a mistake. What you should be looking for is the Chesapeake moving company that offers you the best possible value for money. Paying for a good service is absolutely worth it, as you will protect your belongings and help reduce your overall stress levels, which tend to be significantly elevated during a move.
