I needed to get my already boxed items into a secure storage unit and most moving companies charge a minimum of $350 with the only option of 3 movers and up. Considering The fact that all my boxes fit inside a 5×8 storage unit, I did not want to pay $350 for 3 movers from one location to another which clocked just under 5 miles. I would have preferred to find friends or family to help such a small move, but given the time restraint and day I needed to move, I had to use professional movers. Southside Moving and Storage has an immediate turnaround time for the online form with clear instructions on how to confirm your spot on their schedule and basic costs to let you see how much lower they are compared to any other moving company in Hampton Roads. I called and talked to Paul, I asked them to move 11AM the next day! Last minute move on my part, yet they were flexible and able to accommodate the last minute move. I called to confirm my appointment, gave them details and was given a final cost right then and there. The moving crew called me 30 minutes before arrival the next morning, loaded up and unloaded at the second location all under 2 hours. This was perfect, $250 well spent.Southside Moving and Storage did an outstanding job on this small move, and I am sure they perform super on large moves too. I will use Southside Moving and recommend them every time. I am just glad this moving company exists.
